Rollin' 20's!
So, in my music theory class, I was assigned to write an aleotoric piece for 2 percussionists. Now, I know most of you don;t know what an aleotoric piece is, so I will explain. In the mid-20th century, musical composers got bored with life and decided that to make life more fun, they were going to write music based on random chance.
For example, my assignment: in order to write this piece, I have to use dice to determine the pitch, rhythm and dynamics. I can't make anything up creatively. It all has to be coordinated by the dice. So, being the dork that I am, I thought of 20-sided dice immediately.
It shall be dubbed, "Rollin' 20's" and be dedicated the man himself, Gary Gygax. I'm totally stoked to see how this thing turns out. If I can figure out a way to get the performance recorded and put on the internet, I'll post a link next month.
In other news, I played a ton of WoW last Saturday and it felt good. Got 3 levels on my druid. Up to 38. Oh yeah, and college blows huge donkey dick and has for many years and WILL for many years to come. Yeah, that's good enough.

Yeah, it's gonna suck, thats just the way it rolled. So, its looking like this might be the longest stretch that we go without seeing each other which is until October. Then we get Christmas, Spring Break, my graduation (hopefully) and then if things are still going good at that point, I might be moving out there with her. So it'll suck, but at least I have good idea when I'll get to see her and that makes not seem as shitty.
